BMW i7: technical updates and 2023 price

The 2024 BMW i7 combines electric power with luxury. Its strong electric engine makes driving smooth and quiet. Inside, it’s comfy, with fancy screens and lots of space. The i7 is better than other cars in how far it can go and how luxurious it feels.

What’s New for 2024?

In 2024, BMW is adding two new engines to the i7: one with 650 horsepower and another with 449 horsepower. The 650-hp engine is really fast, reaching 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, but we don’t know much about the 449-hp engine yet. The regular i7 model will stay the same for now.

Safety Features:

  • The car has seven airbags for safety: one for the driver, one for the front passenger, two curtains, one for the driver’s side, one for the front passenger’s side, and one for the front center.
  • It also has a system that warns you if you’re about to collide with something in front of you and can automatically brake in emergencies.
  • There are bright lights that turn on automatically when you need more visibility and a warning sound if you’re going too fast.
  • The car encourages seat belt use, has special locks for children’s safety, and has anchor points for child seats.
  • If you lock the car while driving, the doors will lock automatically.
  • There’s a security feature to prevent the engine from starting if someone tries to steal the car.
  • There’s a seatbelt for the middle rear passenger, and the brake lights flash when you brake hard to make sure others see you.
  • It also warns you if you’re drifting out of your lane and allows you to lock and unlock all doors at once for convenience.
  • Lastly, there’s a kit to fix small tire punctures yourself.

Interior of BMW i7:

The i7 has a big and comfortable cabin like the regular 7-series car. It’s not just luxurious; it also has fancy technology, competing with Mercedes-Benz and Tesla. Inside, it looks nice, with lots of space and nice materials. The Executive Lounge package offers extra comfy seats, wireless charging, and soft headrests. The trunk is big, and there’s a way to fit longer things through the back seats.

BMW interior

The car is pretty big, measuring 5391 mm long, 1950 mm wide (or 2192 mm with mirrors), and 1544 mm tall. Its wheelbase is long at 3215 mm, which makes the inside roomy. It weighs 2715 kg when empty, and it can carry up to 610 kg. The trunk can hold 500 liters of stuff, and you can’t put anything on the roof. It can tow up to 750 kg without brakes and up to 2000 kg with brakes. You can also put up to 80 kg on the roof rack.

If you’re not into impromptu races, the xDrive60 model has a strong 536-hp engine and lots of great features included. It’s a fancy luxury sedan like the regular gas version, and you can make the back seats even more comfy with the Executive Lounge package. This package has things like comfy reclining seats with massage functions. The i7 costs PKR 177,000,000.

Charging and Battery Life:

The i7 xDrive60, with 19-inch wheels, covers about 318 miles per charge, less with larger wheels. On highways, our xDrive60 test car achieved 260 miles with 21-inch wheels.
