What’s New for 2024?

BMW’s 2024 update brings the powerful 650-hp M70 and efficient 449-hp eDrive50 to the i7 lineup. The M70 hits 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, while eDrive50 details are unrevealed. Expect a steady i7 model in the coming year unchanged.

The car can tow with an unbraked towing weight of 750 kg and a braked towing weight of 2000 kg. For vertical load, the maximum capacity is 80 kg.

Charging and Battery Life:

The i7 xDrive60, with 19-inch wheels, covers about 318 miles per charge, less with larger wheels. On highways, our xDrive60 test car achieved 260 miles with 21-inch wheels. EPA cites eDrive50 for 321 miles and M70 for 291 miles. i7’s 101.7-kWh battery supports DC fast charging for an 80-mile gain in 10 minutes. At Electrify America stations, BMW offers three years of free 30-minute charging sessions for new i7 owners.

Fuel Economy:

According to the EPA, the i7 xDrive60 is expected to achieve around 87 MPGe in the city and 92 MPGe on the highway. The M70 might show slightly lower figures, while the eDrive50 could be slightly higher. For detailed fuel economy data, refer to the EPA’s official website.
